Watts has started up a new leadership program for their high school students, and is currently in need of financial assistance for 17 Bibles at $29 apiece. If you can contribute to this need, either by redeeming the cost of one at $29, or by helping with several, you may send a check made to "The Watts Powerhouse Church", Attn: Todd or Jennifer Grant, at 2011 E. 114th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90059. Existing team members who have previously been to Powerhouse on a ROCKHARBOR trip are welcome to return on any given Sunday. You should arrive at Powerhouse church by 8:55 on Sunday morning in order to join in the prayer session that begins at 9:00. Please report to Pastor Todd to find out where and how you can best serve him and his staff. Things that you may be asked to do include prayer, playing with kids, talking to people, leading a Sunday School class, providing transportation, and more. You can expect to leave Powerhouse between 2:30 and 3:00.

Powerhouse Church is in need of snacks such as cookies and drinks for their Bible Clubs and youth ministries that they are having throughout the week. They presently have 5 mid-week Bible Clubs and 2 youth nights. Based upon the number of children who are attending, they are in need of $120.00 per month. If you want to help this need, please reply to this News item with the dollar amount and length of time that you plan to contribute. e.g. $50/month for 6 months.
